how do I create customer tracking area?

Hi

I am quite a beginner to this - so I apologise if this seems very easy! I would like my customers to be able to track the status of their order on my website. How do I do this please?

I am not sure you can do this with paypal and mal's ecommerce.
Normally, you need a script that keeps track of orders, and is then updated by you with the steps you have taken, combined to a login script based on the Order number and user details.
