Hello,
I have made myself a php MYSQL shout box, the single line box where you enter your name i have made maxlength='20'. However the box where you enter the message, i cannot maxlength it. Is there something i can do apart from limit the number of characters entered into the MYSQL table which i have already done, but it means the user can use up 1000 characters but it will only store 100. This site http://www.killsometime.com/ has a shoutbox(On the right hand side at the bottom) which doesn't let you enter over 50 characters and it tells you how many you've used... Does anyone know how they did it?
