View Full Version : oh oh I deleted my public folder HELP

Hi every1!

Happy and Prosperous New Year 2006!

Yesterday while installing oscommerce i received an error saying that oS coundn't install because there were duplicate public html files or folders ( can't remember) .. but crazy confius and hangover me, i went and deleted my public html folder....(yes you are allowed to kick me now)

Help is soo needed, i'm stuck dont know what to do...i tried restoring the public folder/file, I panicked and cleared trash can instead...so yep is gone....how do i replace it? i've tried installing Os again...pressing my luck of course but it doesnt allow me too because the file still in the root folder....
please help ....i would gladly appreciated

you should be able to just recreate the folder in a FTP, im not 100% sure, but I think its just a relative link, the server will interpret and compare the contents of public_html, as yoursite.com.

Im sure an admin will come along and either verify this, or tell you what to do, or fix it for you

Open up a support ticket and request an account reset.
