  • Help with adding HTML code

    Hi all

I would like to add some HTML code for a certified domain that I registered for.

They have sent me the HTML code that I need to copy and paste for the certified domain box to be displayed on my page.

I would like to add this HTML so that the certified box appears on my home page in the bottom left hand corner, just above the bottom border line and in the green rectangle bit at the bottom.

Can someone please tell me how I go about adding this so it pops up in the right place ? I have never used HTML before.

The code I would like to add is below.

    <script id="siteSeal" type="text/javascript" src="//tracedseals.starfieldtech.com/siteseal/get?scriptId=siteSeal&amp;sealId=29884ea0ffef3daca a646f50eeb369e4b3ed621b2c66b399086f2af08b672355"></script>

    Many thanks

Re: Help with adding HTML code

all you have to do is take the html tool box on the left side of your website builder, position it where you want to on the page and insert the
code into that box. when you double left click the box it will open up for you. once you hve done that save it and publish it.

Re: Help with adding HTML code

Ok, i've clicked on the insert HTML, and a box pops up. I double clicked on it like you said and pasted in the above HTML code.

I have positioned it where I want it on my home page. I've then saved it and published it, but nothing appears on my home page.

Have I done this right ?

Re: Help with adding HTML code

            Hi guys

I need some help with a flash intro I have designed.

I have the flash designed and saved on my hd. What I wanted to know is how do I actually link it to my home page ?

Do I need to rename the "index" page so that the flash is added to this page, and then re-name my index page to something else ?

Or is it as simple as creating a new page adding the flash & publishing it ?

Please could someone let me know ?

I have watched the tutorial and there is no mention of re-naming pages. I just wanted to make sure, so that nothing gets messed up on my site as its working fine now.

            Thanks

Re: Help with adding HTML code

Do NOT rename your index page, this will open your website for everyone to view ALL your files...............

Can you not put your flash design code in another html box and position it accordingly ?&#191;?&#191;.......

Re: Help with adding HTML code

                if i understand your question:
you want to have your new flash page as your introduction to your website. If this is the case you would call this page index and you would link it the same as you would all other pages. now if you want to keep your present index page then just rename it and save it. that means that your visitor would see your flash page and go on to the other pages. an example of this is
                www.caughtontape.biz

                hope this helps

Re: Help with adding HTML code

That sounds like sensible advice.....and you get to keep the important index page whatever it contains.

Re: Help with adding HTML code

                    Hi

                    Yes, thats exactly right.

I want to have the very first page people see on my website as an intro. After the intro, they will have the option to click an "ENTER" text which will then take them to my home page when they click on it.

Does that mean I have to re-name my index page to something else, and then name my new page which has the flash file on as the index page ?

Also, does the flash have to have a certain file extension in order for it to be supported by BlueBoda ?

                    Please could someone clarify ?

                    Thanks again for your help.

Yes, rename your index page and save it on your computer and then publish it.

then name your new intro page as index and save on your computer.

When you are happy, publish your new index page which will then overwrite your old index page and your website will then be protected at all times.

I dont know too much about flash, but there is a flash icon at the left side which its posible can be of help to you................

Thanks for your input Dave, I tried the above, but it still wont publish.

I think I may need to convert the file to another format. I'm not sure as i've never used flash before myself.

The file format which it is currently in is .tttf. I think BlueVoda does not support this format, and hence it needs to be converted.

                            Hi all

I have got my intro page working now on my site.

Please could you have a look and tell me what you think ?

The only problem I have now, is that when you click on the other tabs, then click back on the home tab, it takes you back to the intro page again rather than the home page. Is there anyway to stop it doing this? so it goes to the home page instead of the intro ?

                            Appreciate any advice.

                            Thankyou

You will have to change every occurence of your home page links to:

                              yourweburl/homepagename.html
