Step by step instructions to add subdomain

Greetings Vodies,

I am little green. I have built site using bv and want to add a shopping cart using soho. I can't quite understand how to add the sub domain. Do go to Cpanel and click on the sub domain icon which produces a prefix like store.mywebsite.com or do you go to file manager and add it there?

I went to file manager and added what I thought was a store subdomain in the public section, but then when I went to download soho via fantastico I wasn't offered any choice of where to save file.

Yes.. Alex..

Cpanel subdomain icon.. add the subdomain to the folder you want to put soho in. Then go to fantastico and install soho..it should then come up on the dropdown list.

It has to be made on an existing domain. So.. say you have ALEXSITE.com when you create the subdomain... it will be

STORE and on the right select ALEXSITE.com so that it will now be a subdomain of that
