Published Pages Question

Hi,

After building a page and publishing it, I go to check to see how it turned out on the web and it shows fine on the local machine I created it on, however, after visiting the page on another completely different system, the page shows quite different.

Meaning, off centered in some pages, borders are 3 times larger, Aweber web forms are longer in length and are overlapping other text paragraphs, etc.

Is there a certain way to build and publish a page to where it looks like it looks in Bluevoda on all systems out there?

Hi.

It should look exactly the sme as it does in bluevoda when published, a few things that may cause this:

1. the page being in different positions when viewed on different monitors: if your page isn't centred it will show in a different position on different resolution monitors.

2. try cleaning your cache with a piece of software called ccleaner, just search for it on the forum and there is a post with a link to download it.

Most likely it is due to the view the specific browser your are using, as Preview defaults to IE and it sounds like you are using something else.

Always double-check views using multiple browsers when "designing" pages so your find the version that can be easily accommodated "universally." You should download Firefox, and either Slimbrowser or Opera (all free) and have them at the ready on your system, as they become more useful when you get more adept to higher Web methods...
