  • Video size starts big, but goes small

    Hi there,

I'm having a pesky time trying to master adding video to my site - http://www.swiftsaleproperty.com

I have created the layout of the index page around what size i want the video to be. However when you play the video, the viewing screen immediately shrinks to a narrow letter box.
I have checked the aspect ratio of the wmv file i uploaded, which is 4:3.
The Properties for the Windows Media Player do not allow you to do anything except modify what happens once the video has loaded and started playing, so i am at a loss as to how to rectify this!

    Can any one help me?!
    Please!!

i believe that you can set the size when you are making the movie. at least with my software i am able to do that. i just make the movie at what ever size i need and it seems to work out ok. if you have any problems with this you can send me the video file and i can see what you have done to make it go small. just go to my website and you can contact me.

Re: Video size starts big, but goes small

Thanks for the response mrmagoo144, i think i've worked it out.
I did like you said and made sure the aspect ratio for recording files was set to 4:3 instead of 16:9, which is more widescreen (not what i want), but even then, i was getting the same problem.
What i ended up doing was narrowing the WMP box in BV widthways, which balanced out the distortion.

Just means that the viewing window on my website will have to be smaller than i originally intended. Fair enough!

        Thanks for your help.

thats ok, but the best characteristic of blue voda is not having a limitation as to size and still have no pixelization.(did i spell that correctly?)

          good luck
