Ok, now i realize that i have to name my homepage something other than index.
I thought that my page name had to be the same as the link. I want to name my home page... Listowel ontario portrait photographer - Debra Read. Can i have spaces between words on my page title?
what does my link have to be. Right now its www.readphotography.ca/index.html (http://www.readphotography.ca/index.html)
thankyou for answering what seems like to me a stupid question. i have watched the tutorials. Deb

Hi, your home page should be named as index only. index is the 1st page the Internet will look for when entering a sites directory.

The link from another page to your home page should be the url to your site only. IE: www.readphotography.ca (http://www.readphotography.ca/index.html)

The title to you page should as much as possible have words in order of priority of what someone will enter as a search & should also be within the text of the page that it applies to.

Yes you can have spaces between words. It is also relevant to have good grammar when typing the title.

Your HOME page has to be index.. just as you have it, and when you link to it... www.readphotography.ca (http://www.readphotography.ca) is all you need.

Your PAGE TITLE can be anything. Right Click on the page, choose page properties and THERE is where you may put in the other stuff.

This is what will show up in the blue browser bar.

You also put in your page description and keywords here as well.

Thank you for the help! Just when I think I'm done a part of my website, I realize I didn't quite understand what I was doing.
