sorry for the stupidity but I can't link

I have tried to wait as long as possible to ask for help but here it is.
I can't link. my site is pro-vista.biz
I published my index page and company page.
Found out from someone elses thread that if you double click on the text the option to link lights up.
That's when I thought I would finally get it but no...
I typed the destination http://www.pro-vista.biz/company.html

this was to link from my index page clicking on the text company in the grey bar.

when I call up the site all I can see is the index page, but no company page and no option to link to the company page when clicking on the text "company" in the grey bar.

I am supposed to try to link after publishing right? and to do it from the site builer program?

When you are trying to link the text, not only do you double click on it you have to drag you mouse across it to highlight it. Then add the link, leave the target area empty (nothing in it) to have it open in the same page. save and republish.

You are nearly right

If you highlight the text in the text box, then you can click on the link icon, where you can put the page url.
