View Full Version : CSS animated horizontal menu

I am completely redoing a site and I found a menu at dynamicdrive.com that I like. I have installed it and it works great - almost. The words 'pop-up' when you hover just as they should. My problem is getting the tabs to show.
I downloaded the two gifs that the site stated were used. I couldn't get them to work so I saved the images from DD and they still don't appear.
I uploaded them to the server and can find them when I go directly to the gif file.

I don't really want those tabs but I figured if I can get them to work, I can play with the colors until we them like we want them.

This page and gifs are located in a subdomain HERE (http://www.thegoofygiftshop.com/mchc/)

The gifs are HERE (http://www.thegoofygiftshop.com/mchc/tab-blue-right.gif) and HERE (http://www.thegoofygiftshop.com/mchc/tab-blue-left.gif)

I have double-checked and triple-checked and ... Any ideas?
BTW: even though the links look active, the linked pages are not published.

You have to change the location of the gifs in the menu file. Most likely a full path rather than a relative one to insure you are aiming to the correct location.

Thanks Karen, but I guess I'm a bit confused.
On the menu page, I have this in the Page HTML:

background: http://www.thegoofygiftshop.com/mchc/tab-blue-left1.gif no-repeat left top;

background: http://www.thegoofygiftshop.com/mchc/tab-blue-right1.gif no-repeat right top;

And tab-blue-right1 and tab-blue-left1 were both uploaded to the mchc subdomain via Legacy File Manager.

Is that not the full path?

That is the code I got from DD. But I still don't get the tabs. I must be doing something wrong concerning the gifs.
