  • web page prints out narrower than paper in printer

I am confused as to why my page prints out narrower than the paper in my printer being A4.
Is there a recommended width for the web page to be set up at ?

Web pages are not really designed to be a printable item. Best bet is to convert them into PDF format & offer a download.

      Thank you for your reply.
Now how do I get a PDF of the page that I want customers to download?
I have had a good look but can not find anything on how to do it.

once you have made the pdf file then you upload to the server using your ftp manager tool, under tools. make sure you name it will all small lettes, no spaces or symbols, some what the same as your webpage is named, but make sure you have a pdf extension. now that you have the pdf file at the server, you must create a link to that file so the link will look like this:
        www.yourwebsitename.com/pdffile.pdf
        an example of this is

you will notice that the link is done with printer friendly link

        hope this helps

you could take a screenshot of your webpage, save it as an image, insert the image into a word document, then convert the word document into a pdf via a free pdf converter .. if you do not have one you can find one at www.primopdf.com ..

alternatively, you take the content from this webpage and place it all on a word document and convert to a pdf as written above as well ..

the 2nd method will give you cleaner work .. but the 1st method may be suitable for you as well .
