really neccesary???

I feel really silly asking this but here goes.....Do I have to set up an e-mail account? I was hoping I could just use the default (the default is my home e-mail address). Or, is setting up a new one necessary for everything in my website to work properly. Very new to this whole thing.

I don't think your account or website is dependent on you setting up a new email address. As you get your site up and running though you may find it helpful to channel different emails to different addresses, but you don't have to. The VH emails are easy to set up but I find it easier to have MSOutlook gather in all my mail from the different addresses. I also use MSO to send all my mail too.
