I am trying to put some text over a photo and would like it to be transparent, being able to read the text and see the photo underneath. Any adviseˇ

i am creating a new one from scratch and am trying to make the banner with the words "LA BIBLIA DICE". You will note that in the background are the words but transparent. That is the effect that I am looking for. Any advise would be appreciated.

Create your text as an image, add your image using the layer tool in blue voda, adjust the opacity of the text image there ....

you can use paint.net - free program - to create your text as an image ..
