  • Javascript Arrow Leftover

    I tried putting a hidden counter on my page in JavaScript and each time I tried, (3), when I opened the page I got a (-->) where the counter was. I put it in in HTML and it seems OK. I just wondered what's up with the javascript version?? Thx, #34460

    Re: Javascript Arrow Leftover

    Can you give a link to the page that the "-->" is appearing on (always give a link to the page if you are asking something specific such as this).

    I can almost guarantee you it's from a comment in the javascript, and probably a syntax error causing it to show.

      I didn't put that page up because of that error. On the page I reworked, it is a black BG and it doesn't show, but here is the script itself...

      <!-- GoStats JavaScript Based Code -->
      <script type="text/javascript" src="http://gostats.com/js/counter.js"></script>
      <script type="text/javascript">_gos='c3.gostats.com';_goa=314563;
      _got=5;_goi=1;_goz=0;_gol='invisible counter';_GoStatsRun();</script>
      <noscript><a target="_blank" title="invisible counter"
      href="http://gostats.com"><img alt="invisible counter"
      src="http://c3.gostats.com/bin/count/a_314563/t_5/i_1/counter.png"
      style="border-width:0" /></a></noscript>
      <!-- End GoStats JavaScript Based Code -->

      If that doesn't help enough, I can replace the BG and upload it again, thx.....
