Layout Limits question

Am I limited to the 800 wide by 600 long page size
or could I extend it a bit and still appear correctly in
various browsers?

you can extend the page any which way you want.

Be careful though. Too much width can create side scrolling.

Experiment with the dimensions and see what you like - keep in
mind your visitors as well.
