Hi,

Does anybody know whether there are any free software
or open source software online which opens a pdf file for editing or extraction of images.

I downloaded some beautiful borders and corners for charts
which are free to download and use but I cant extract the images.

Nitro PDF (http://www.nitropdf.com/products.htm) is free to use in demo mode. When the demo expires you can still use it with their logo in the bottom RHC. It's very flexible and easy to use.
