  • My first website....can it work?

    Hi all,

I had a simple idea, 1 page and a top ten list. 4 Months and 80 pages later, I have finally published it. Registered it to Google and logged onto Analytics.

I am very new to all this and I would appreciate any feedback whether good or bad. What should I do next? What are the top ways to get my site out there.

    The URL is www.ecosaveonline.com

    Hope someone can help!

    Many thanks in advance

Never measure the height of the mountain you're climbing. At the summit, look back and see how small it really is!

Good looking site. Some pages look as if they are to the left of my screen. But i take it is allowing for adds down the right hand side like the front page.

        Good clean, loads fast
One or two things apart from thing mentioned above.

1/ Once i left the home page couldn't figure out how to get back lol. that was until i realized the link was on the bottom of the page.
2/ it is a good idea to have any links / adds that are not to your site open in a new window. also put a link in the blog back to main site.

nice site. i think you are looking to get this site to people - to be noticed on the web and to be ranked high up with yahoo, google etc... that has to do with internet marketing. there are several ways to do this. just google internet marketing and you will be flooded with websites that specialize in this. i have studied this a lot and feel the most effective way to get your name out there is through email campaigns, newsletters via the internet. if you wish to discuss this with me, just contact me through my website. there are many knowing persons here in the forum regarding this and if you open a topic and just call it internet marketing, perhaps you will get more people involved.
            good luck

Re: My first website....can it work?

Hi to everyone who has added comments. They are all really appreciated and I will make sure I incorporate all those good ideas. Really nice to have your input - Thanks you.

After I have done this, I think I will open a new ticket on 'beginners first steps for traffic web optimisation, as I am a bit befuddled with the number of ways to approach this.

Hope everyone has a great Xmas.

Re: My first website....can it work?

The solar panel link from the homeroof page does not work.

Here's a suggestion: Links to pages within your site should should flip from page to page; but, links to external websites should open into new windows.

Also, several pictures did not load properly throughout the site.

Overall, it looks like you put in a lot of time. You have a very nice site.
                  Sincerely,
                  Tim & Sonia Platt
