  • Linking form fields

    Hello,

I have a problem with my form.
I want to do something with some fields of my form but I don´t no how to do it.

    Example: I have to combobox´s;

1st combobox name is: COUNTRY (wich have inside a few items)
    united estates
    united kingdom
    ....................

    2nd combobox name is: CITY
    new york
    london
    ............

What I want to do is, every time a user of website chooses for exemple in the 1st combobox the COUNTRY: UNITED STATES, automatically shows up in the 2nd combobox only the united states citys and all the other citys from other countrys will not be displayed.

Can you tell me how can I "link" this to combobox´s this way?

PS: Sorry for the bad english. I hope you understand my question.

    Best regards,
    Nuno Abrantes

    Re: Linking form fields

There is no easy way. You need to use either Javascript or Ajax.
Javascript can be fine if you only have a few countries / cities.
If you want to have many countries / cities, Ajax is the way to go.
