  • Text link problems

I've recently enjoyed setting up a new little home business with Soholaunch. I found the software great to use and intuative and have managed to produce something almost exactly how I hoped. 1 small issue is the text links along the bottom of each page.

(the site address is http://www.ethicalasia.com )

The menu navigation works but the text links don't. For example through the menu navigation the URL for the 'Product Info' page is http://ethicalasia.com/index.php?pr=Product_Info which takes you to the right page but through the text links at the bottom you are taken to http://ethicalasia.com/Product_Info which gives a 404 Not Found error when these links should both go to the same page. This pages and links are pre-set by the template / software and not manually by me.

I can't find anywhere within the page properties or template navigation that allows me to change this code or link. The only option is to get rid of the text links completely which I don't really want to do.

    Any ideas??

why not go into the html view and add your own links to the correct pages.

      Re: Text link problems

      Thanks for the reply.

At risk of asking a really obvious question how do I view and edit the html code in Soholaunch?

My previous websites were all Bluevoda and whilst I have found the Soholaunch very user friendly I can't seem to get the html code up.

I'm using a template that I found and liked and I've editted the homepage through blog manager, loading specific images and menu navigation. In terms of editting the text links I can only seem to turn them off or on and the links are pre-set (incorrectly undfortunately!)

Just to clarify as it probably isn't 100% clear. As the home page of the template is editted using the boxes and blog manager, when I go to edit pages>home page and the grid of boxes comes up there is absolutely nothing in any of the boxes. All my other pages are editted this way but the home page isn't.

As the text links are an option with the template and weren't added by me they don't show up in any of the edit page views.

not sure what you have to do. as the html code comes up when you open the text editor box. one thing you can do if the site is published, open the page in a browser and now you go to view at the top and click on source. it will show all the html that was used to produce the page. you can then put the html code in notepad, make your changes then reload using html tool. hope this helps or maybe someone else has a better answer.

              Re: Text link problems

Thanks again, I think I'm getting close.

The script all comes from a customized 'pgm-auto_menu.php' script that I got when I downloaded the template. This is why the html code doesn't show up on the page editting.

However I imagine that I can edit the pgm-auto_menu.php script where I downloaded it and then reinstall the template. Would reinstalling the template overwrite and therefore delete all the work I've done on my website?

                Re: Text link problems

Thanks for your help, I've now fixed the problem.

A combination of this thread and the following link on the Soholaunch addon forum should help anyone else solve this issue if they encounter it.

The renaming of the 'pgm-auto_menu.php' through the control panel sorted it out.
