  • making links

I would like to make some links that would take you to the same page the link is originating from. For example, I have the menu buttons at the top of a certain page, then some content on the same page with different headings. The menu buttons on the top refer to the headings of the paragraphs on the same page. Can I link the menu buttoms to the paragraph headings that are on the same page? If so, how do I do that? I can find no information on that.

Also, I could find nothing on the target types that you have listed in your menu box, such as _parent, _self, etc. there is no tutorial that I can find. Could you help, please? thank you so much!!

      Description of the Link Properties:
Link: Enter the URL (Internet Address) to which the object will link.
Target: Enter the window to which the link is targeted.

      For example:
_blank (opens the link in a new window).
_self (open the link in the current frame)
_parent(open the link in the parent frame)
Bookmark: Before you can specify a bookmark to link to, you first have to create a bookmark using the Bookmark object:

Bookmarks (also called anchors) mark a specific location on a page. With a bookmark a visitor of the page can go directly to a particular part of the page without having to scrolll to it. You can place the Bookmark icon anywhere in the page. Make sure you give the bookmark an unique name. You link to a bookmark from the link dialog.
