  • EXcel Spreadsheet with Macro's conversion

    Hi Folks,

I have a pretty complicated Excel spreadsheet with macro's which I would like to get into BV.

    This is a huge task.

I have previously been using the option of creating the .htm file and folk can then vwie it but the time has come to upgrade.

Any support here would be appreciated.
    Kind Regards

Re: EXcel Spreadsheet with Macro's conversion

There is no way to embed an excel file and keep it working in html.

There are some pieces of software (though I can't recall right now) that convert Excel's functions in Javascript functions, thus allowing you to reproduce the excel file in a kind of dynamic (thanks to the Javascript) table. However it can't (If i recall well) convert also macros to Javascript.

Re: EXcel Spreadsheet with Macro's conversion

        Hi Guys,

        Thanks for all the responses.

The purpose of this spreadsheet is to create averages and rankings for junior golfers.

The excel spreadsheet works well in excel but bringing to the web with the same interaction is beyond my capabilities.

I will loook at the links thanks George.

If there is someone willing to create it with theri scripts (freelance) I would be happy to consider and mail you what I already have.
        Kind Regards

          Hi George,

I have looked at the 123 link - Thanks.

I have also submitted the spreadsheet as they request so I just have to wait to see the reply and result.

It seems to be simple enough when veiwing it.
          Kind Regards

I will have to look at another alternative

Re: EXcel Spreadsheet with Macro's conversion

If you look above I did mention that they probably don't support makros, as they can not be converted into Javascript.

I'm afraid there is no solution to this.

Re: EXcel Spreadsheet with Macro's conversion

                Hi George,

                You did mention this.

No solution makes me think I cannot do anything to create this ranking system on the web - and I know thats not quite what you mean.

So now its up to those that can develop this to a web function and back to the cost thereof.
