background music takes so long to load

is there a program to make the background music shorter file so the home page loads faster when people bring it up on the internet. please advise.

This type of file is notorious for slowing pages down. You need to google the file format & reducer IE: "mp3 file reduction" or "mp3 for web use"
There will be usually a free ware that will do this, but will only get the file down by half.

this is how i do it. i make a video lets say wmv in my movie maker software. i include the song with a video. lets say the song is 3 minutes long. then the video part would match that. if i want to keep the video i continue to make the movie. if i only want the sound i delete the video part. make the wmv file, then convert to swf. it plays right away. no waiting.

umm you can invest in a Music Flash player with a buffer range on it... it wont slow your page loading and the buffer starts to stream the music after a set time you adjust so after about 5 seconds music starts even though the download has yet to finish... Microsoft Music player in BV doesnt start playing until the entire music file is downloaded and effectsthe page loading
