I came across this handy bit of software: Gyazo dot com
Make your selection, Copy the URL and paste wherever needed.
The link shows a screen copy of the software website.
Here's one of a portion of my desktop.

A bit more info on the above tip.
When you make your selection/capture it will automatically be loaded to the software's website and open as a new page on your browser.
From there you can copy the URL and post it.
