  • Editing html for flash music player

    Hi Everybody,

    I've got a flash music player (everybody's dream project...) installed on my site. Music player appears as it should and plays original "song" (demo). All the files reside properly on my public_htm including my own songs in correct mp3 format.

    To make it play my particular mp3 file I need to edit the page's html code accordingly (change the original "song" to my own).

    No cigar...

    1. In public_htm I opened the page. Opened edit html.
    2. Page appears - empty. Went to "source".
    3. Edited mp3 target parameters.
    4. Can't save it. End.

    That's where it stands.

    Thank you for your help.

        I see in your page code, that the same piece of code is repeated twice.
        But I can't see the mp3 path, so I can't be of much help.

          Re: Editing html for flash music player

          I assumed this was the mp3 path:

          <script type="text/javascript">
          var options = {};
          options.mediaPath = "song.mp3";

          Where should the player code be?

          According to instructions I should be editing those parameters in public/htm.
          I would do that but there seems to be the problem of not being able to save the edit (mp3 path change).

            The path position is as you posted, but where is YOUR mp3 ?

            Change the mp3 file with one of your own, post the path to the mp3 file, and publish the page so I can have a look.

              the mp3 is on my public_htm

              now I'll go and change the mp3 path to that song

              (tried it before - no go. but maybe now...)

                Re: Editing html for flash music player

                The reason it is not working because you have two of the same coding, and seeing as the first one plays the original song, you wont hear your song, so go to your webpage right click the page and click page html and then delete the code at the top, after where you have song.mp3 make sure you have the song in your public_html but it is best to post the exact location of the song just in case which is http://www.gabor-music.com/song.mp3
