  • No Name Server?

So - I purchased JustForTheRecordVideo.com on Monday morning. Apparently the site has "no name server".

I went to control panel and set it up as an add on domain. Watched the video - pretty sure this is done correctly.

I created the page in its own directory.

I published the page I created with the site name at the end of the "public" line.

Where do I look for my answers? Why is it not there?

Where did you buy the domain name?

Once you've worked that out go there and change the nameservers to the ones VH gave you for your primary domain.

        Re: No Name Server?

Susan .... As discussed in the earlier threads, you must set the Nameserver configuration for the domain to actually point to ("associate") your Primary Account (paintonshirts.net) so it can 'find' where the Add-On domain was created for it to display .... This must be done for all domains, no matter where they were purchased or reside.

Please return to set DNS/Nameserver configurations before starting a 4th thread? (Duplicate threads have already been removed)

          Re: No Name Server?

I thought I had done this.

          My original website is Photosonshirts.net

My new add on domain is JustForTheRecordVideo.com

It published fine. Files are in a separate folder. Published as public_html/justfortherecordvideo.com

          In CPanel -
I set up the add on domain JustForTheRecordVideo.com
          User name justfortherecordvideo
          document root public_html/justfortherecordvideo.com

It shows in FTP and looks fine to me.
It shows in subdomains and looks fine to me.

          What could I have missed?????

            1. Domain is puchased, registered, and active within youyr account.
            2. Add-On domain properly created in Promary Account.
            3. Page created, saved to proper BV folder, and published to proper Add-On Directory.
            4. Add-On Domain ..... still just sitting there, not knowing it is supposed to be actively looking for a specific place to find a website .... SET NAMESERVER settings for it!
