Re: cant find my website sub domaine pages

    http://bmore.streetarena.tv/ is the link.
If bmore.html is to be your home page of the sub-domain? Create a new folder under your BV folder & save the bmore.html as index in this folder & re-publish this page to your sub-domain as index. This will be the starting point for your new sub-domain pages. (Save all pages to this folder on your computer)
Any new page will look something like http://bmore.streetarena.tv/about-us.html
    Regards Chris.

Re: cant find my website sub domaine pages

"I don't want it to be my index page" If you want it as a sub-domain, you have to have an index page for the SE to find the 1st page on your new sub-domain site.
Note: (A sub-domain is classed as a new site)
If you want it as a sub page of streetarena, just publish it as bmore to your main public-html directory & have the link as http://streetarena.tv/bmore.html
        Regards Chris.

Re: cant find my website sub domaine pages

i am having the same problem. I cant seem to get the lnik on the index page to land on a URL (404).

Do you have to publish another URL page in the cpanel so the link on the index page works?

            This is really confusing!

Re: cant find my website sub domaine pages

I think things are getting confused?
Do you want a sub domain? that pepole can link to? This is basically a new website.
Or do you just want a new page on your http://streetarena.tv?
At the moment you have created a new sub-domain website.
              This is a sub-domain link http://bmore.streetarena.tv
This is a sub-domain link with a new page http://bmore.streetarena.tv/newpage.html
This is a normal domain link http://streetarena.tv
This is a normal domain link with a new page http://streetarena.tv/newpage.html
              Regards Chris.

Re: cant find my website sub domaine pages

That seems very logical.... for both options (sub page and normal page extension)

I may be right in saying for the both us that, that we have followed to the letter on how to create menu pages with the correct link names and saved and published each page individually, followed the extra intructions of the mods (Who generally points you to a tutorial page 'Again' - Understandable as I can imagine there are some very silly mistakes made due to not following the tutorials correctly).

If we are doing everything right form the BV point of view, are there other varialbles that can affect the displaying of the separate pages? ie hosting restrictions on second pages, Time delay of second +pages being able to be viewed after account sign up/hosting going live, or something that needs to be clicked or changed in our hosting account?

Just for the record, I am not very impressed with the picture of a 'telephone support team' image that gives you a phone number to call if you need help, then to be kept on the phone to be instructed to go back to the website help tutorials. - VERY LAME!

Are you trying to create a new website? (called a sub-domain) like you have hear http://bmore.streetarena.tv/
Or! Are you trying to add pages to your main site? http://streetarena.tv

Re: cant find my website sub domaine pages

OK, Logically thinking 'with no web knowledge', I thought that each page needed something called a Sub domain.... I WAS WRONG!

what i was looking for was the next 'storage place' to view my next page 'Contacts'

I looked around in my hosting program to try and find out where i get the URL name to link with the contact page. (Wrong place).

I hope the info below is what you are looking for.

                      .................................................. ...........................

                      Ok Big Philly.

I have the answer to the problem.

I am not using the Sub Domain route, but here is what I have just worked out.

                      1. When you start creating a new website, be sure to make the first page name index. (which is very easy to understand in the tutorials -and I am sure you have done this.

                      2. When naming the next page, be sure to name the page in 'all lower case' this creates your BV (contacts ect.) folder in lower case. Each folder should be in lower case!

                      3. When editing your page name add the extension http://streetarena.tv/newpage.html making sure all is lower case. (Which you have done)

Your URL will now be matched with the folder name (Lower case folder matched to Lower case URL)

What the tutorials do not tell you is that once we have had a go at making a page, looking around practising, seeing what BV can do, we (Like many I should imagine) Make our first mistake of naming our first page with a capital letter.

Later when we have watched the tutorial many times over banging our heads against a brick wall with everyone saying "watch the tutorials again". aarrrgh so frustrating!

                      Anyway the point is...

If you make the first page name with a starting capital letter, the folder and the URL do not talk to each other , which is why we have had blank pages.

(There should be a separate tutorial on this situation alone - which will reduce the amount of light hearted MOD responses that does not covering the FULL problem - as we have experienced)

(((((Please do not take offence 'MODS' I to would get a bit frustrated with answering the same problem with each newbie day in day out)))))

So, what you need to do is log out of BV and go to your BV folder accessed by your documents on cdrive. rename all the folders with lower case, rename all files lower case, and then launch BV .

Then go back to your index page, making sure that all the page name links in the URL are lower case.

You then need to re-publish each page separately.

The links should now work for each page.

If this is not correct, then what I did was a fluke, my rant was incorrect and I wish you the best of luck!

                      lol.

                      Daz

Re: cant find my website sub domaine pages

Further to my recent post, I would like to clarify that it's the very first 'Published page under each name'

                        contact
                        services
                        about ect...

It's the naming of every first page (which needs to be in lower case) so it creates a folder in lower case for the URL address named in the navigation bar properties to link correctly.

                        I hope this helps.

If you make a page called bmore then you publish the page to the public-html directory, the same as you did with your 1st index page. The link to this page will then be http://www.streetarena.tv/bmore.html
