Please can someone help me...

I have three guestbooks on my website which should each contain different content but they share the same messages... When I put a message in one, in appears in all three.

I tried changing the 'Text Filename' in 'Advanced' to: ./guestbookdb3337836383.php
Someone advised me to give them all a different name which I have done but they are still all the same...

Worse than that they all say;

Warning: filesize() [function.filesize (http://www.thelakecomoweddingplanner.com/function.filesize)]: stat failed for ./guestbookdb3337836383.php in /home/gdhybfns/public_html/thelakecomoweddingplanner.com/guestbook.php on line 222

Is that a separate problem? How can I fix it??

I really need this fixed soon...Please??.....

The three offending guestbooks are here;

The instructions I gave you are correct. The error will show up AS LONG AS there is no post. Make a first post (a welcome post) in the guestbooks and it will be ok. I already did for the first of your 3 guestbooks.

Ahhh phew! I saw you'd left a message in one just now and was so pleased you'd seen I was still stuck! Thank you!

Navaldesign are you still there??? It's still broken! When I enter a message in one, it appears in all three. I tried to enter a different number in Text filename for one of them and republished...then I tried putting a message in the guestbook again and all three morfed into the same guestbook again!

In the Text filename box I am entering;
and nothing more. Should it be
...I just tried that in case I had answered my own question but the guestbooks didn't record the messages at all so I have put them back to 'normal'.... help!

Obviously, the second and third of the links you posted, have the same text filename

The first one is ok, has its own posts. Second and third display the same posts which indicates that they have the same text filename.

Sally, it obvious that the file name should be ./guestbookdb22222222.php
and not the full URL http://thelakecomoweddingplanner.com...db22222222.php (http://thelakecomoweddingplanner.com/guestbookdb22222222.php) .... It is so in the default value, as well in my own instructions .

After you get this working and you understand the mecchanism, you should change the text filenames as you have posted them here and it will get cought by SE bots.

I am changing them I promise! Then they just turn into the same one! I gave them all different ones and when I publish they all turn into the last one that I changed. I noticed in that error message that came up that the same number appeared in all of them.

These are the filenames I gave them;

The black site - ./guestbookdb34.php
Gavin and Laura's - ./guestbookdb22222222.php
Sarah & Michael's - ./78_KR_guestbookdb.php

Please also change the PHP filename:

Otherwise each time you are publishing one of the 3 pages, it overwrites the others too and they all use the same text file.

Is the PHP filename the same as PHP script name?

They MUST be different

example: PHP filename: guestbook1.php
Text filename: ./guestbookdb_5879.php
