  • SubDomain Images Not Publishing

It looks and sounds straightforward, and I thought I had it sorted, but I am tearing my hair out trying to link images to my subdomain.

I am franchising my business; www.supasash.com is the main domain. Franchisees will have subdomains of their own, added as the chain grows. The first one is www.astonhouse.supasash.com

I created a new folder in my computer to hold all the distinct Aston House files and images. I published the index page to (public_html/astonhouse) but it appeared without images and I simply cannot work out how to link them. I have created a new image folder in the Aston House folder on my computer, and also tried linking direct back to the image file in the main domain, but nothing works.

The format (public_html/supasash.astonhouse) brings up an error message 550 NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY when I try to publish it. If I click on the blank image on the published site I am told I do not have permission to view the file on this server.

What am I doing wrong? I'm sure its something simple but I just can't work it out.

    Try this http://www.supasash.com/astonhouse/

All looks fine!! (Well the index page does)

you publish to public_html/astonhouse as you've said.

and your links look OK ie http://www.supasash.com/astonhouse/Chester.html (Just make sure there is a page on the end of them)
    Happy Building
