  • Reloading Images from older computer

I just had my computer switched, then updated with Windows 7. Now that I'm trying to update my website, I see that the images aren't being found, even though they're in the Blue Voda folder here on the new computer.

I know it's got to be a file path issue, but I'm not exactly clear on how to square it away. I'm just wanting Blue Voda to be able to find and recognize the images so things are squared away for my future website updates.

    Thanks for any assistance.

Unhappily, Windows 7 uses a "fake" documents and settings folder for compatibility reasons. And that means that if your images folder was in the documents and settings folder in Vista or whatever (where they would be by default), you're cooked. It's been discussed a lot out there in Googleland and literally no work-around has been found.

And that all means you have to use the Image tool in BV to to find and reinsert every single image on your new computer.

Yikes! That's an expensive discovery in regards to time.

I do appreciate the scoop, though. Thanks for the clarification.
