  • new site not showing

    Hi,
I got a new domain yesterday so I could brand my sites similarly, and went through a previously working site copying/changing all relevant titles/links/pages, etc (http://www.gemporium.co.uk, add-on)

I also have http://www.kalonacreativity.me.uk which works fine, DNS ok etc...

BUT, the new site http://www.kalonacreativity.co.uk doesn't work. Is this because it's too early to show up yet? It is set up the same as the others as an add-on, with its own folder in public/html, servers are set to voda28 as are the others...I can't work out what the problem is.

    Any help muchly appreciated,
    Kal.

I suppose it was a DNS propagation issue, because the site now shows up just fine.

      Re: new site not showing

      Hi,
Quite possibly- I was working on ot this morning on forefox and ie, but I still ahve a publishing issue with two of the pages. The pages are straight copies of working pages, I have changed all relevant links/titles etc to the new site, but the roll over/events don't seem to be publishing the same as the original site.

It shouldn't be a caching issue as I write the noncache html that you gave us into all the pages. Do they roll over/show images for you? check compared to other pages that seem to work properly.

As I haven't changed anything on these 2 pages, that I haven't also had to change on all the others I cannot understand why this is? Is it a publishing issue?

I have tried copying all the centre images directly from my equivalent gemporium page, but this doesn't seem to be having any effect, and yet these pages still work there correctly.

      Many thanks,
      Kal.

        Re: new site not showing

I worked out that the builder doesn't keep numbers when inserting pics, so when i changed the header everything else messed up!
Isn't there a way of allocating an image a set number that won't change? Updating pages is going to be difficult if i have to rebuild each time i change a set of images...just a thought.
