Copy & Pasting HTML from Paypal

I need to put a Paypal link on my site. I copied the "add to cart" HTML from Paypal's site but how do I paste it on my site? Need step by step instructions. Not good at this and Paypal's instructions did not work.

Also, how do I set up the shopping cart feature. Totally confused.
