View Full Version : Email still not working!!!!

Hi,
I have discovered that Eudora can have no more than 3 personalities (or accounts) that is why my email was not working.
So I thought I would just simply forward it to another domain name that I have - that didn't work either!
Then as a last resort I thought I would set everything back to the default and not have a server for my mail to go to but just collect it through webmail - but that isn't working either!!!!
Please can someone help me with this problem?
I put in a support ticket and after going back and forward their final recommendation was to change email software, which I don't really want to do as I have been using Eudora for 15 years and like it.
Please help!

Me again! Forgot to add. I have used the control panel to try and forward things but that wasn't happening either.

I have sent many test emails - they go off into cyberspace never to be seen again. i feel like I should have one of my other email addresses listed on my webpage but I really would prefer the one above.

Tracy, I had all mine working in Outlook Express a couple days ago - after some weird goings on - then discovered when someone from the forum said they had emailed me that I wasn't getting all again. Some are working, some aren't and I have no clue why. However, the ones not working in OE are going to the web mail program (I found them all yesterday) - so you might check there and at least have a place to retrieve messages.

Like you, I need to figure out why they aren't working properly in my program - but at least I found I can get them.

Trouble Shooting

Case 1

There is a chance that your ISP is blocking you. Email goes out through Port 25 of of computer.
Please call them and ask them if they are blocking port 25, if yes, DEMAND that they unblock it.

ISP's block Port 25 sometimes to stop people from spamming.

Case 2

You are going to love this one. There is a possibility that your ISP has given a a blacklisted IP
Address. This is easy to verify.....

Step 1

Click Here (http://www.ipchicken.com/) to visit IP Chicken to find ut what your IP address is.

Step 2

Click Here (http://rbls.org/) to run check on your IP address. Enter it in the search box on the top left
of the page.

If your IP address comes back dirty....Call up your ISP and give them hell!

Hi,
no my isp is not black listed. It is using a remote port not 25 (alothough I will call them and ask as well.
I have not been able to get anything from webmail either! I have sent many test but nothing is there.
Got any other ideas?

Have you set up the email account in your control panel? Our email
system is working perfect and delivers over 500,000 emails per day.

What is you email address?, I will send you a test.

Yes I have set it up in control panel. But it keeps telling me there isn't anymail there?!
Help? I may be reciving emails and never know? I thought if I can at least get it going to my webmail then I can have it forwarded from there to my other domain name, which will then forward it to my in box. Seems simple but yet sooo hard!

Your email is working fine, I just set up a test account. The problem
is on your end. Please contact your ISP or get somebody to help you
set it up.

OK - Something very interesting is happening. I have just discovered. When I go to control panel and log in and then go straight into webmail - it goes to my "master username" where there are no emails. BUT if I go into manage accounts, and go into webmail thru my tracy@golfmindplay account the emails appear. SO does this mean I must go thru the manage accounts, path?

At the end of your domain name put /webmail and hit return. (like this; http://golfmindplay.com/webmail )

This will open up the mail sign in box. Type in tracy@golfminplay.com as the user name and then type in the pass word you set for that e-mail account and hit enter.

That should take you straight to the e-mail section with out having to go
through c-panel.
