subdomains

hi there,
i have one domain name www.leximindia.com and i want to create another website for which i plan to purchase another domain name and open an new account with bv. but just in the meantime before i actually host it i want to test it temporarily. is it possible doing so creating a subdomain for the domain leximindia.com and hosting it under the same account for testing purposes..if yes how do i do so..if no is there any other alternative by which i could test my website..

Go in your CP, click on subdomains, and follow the wizard. Please note that if you call your subdomain f.e. "newname", your subdomain will be www.nwename.leximindia.com and when you publish your pages you must publish in the folder "public_html/newname" . Please also note that since links in BV are absolute URLs, in order to make your site functional, you will need to have all your internal links as http://www.newname.leximindia.com which will work just fine as long as you host your new site in that subdomain. But when you create the new account you must change your links to http://newname.com for them to work on the new account.
