Windows 8: Having trouble downloading BlueVoda

I just got a new laptop running windows 8 and it freezes towards the end of the download on texture9.bmp. I've downloaded it on my previous laptop a couple weeks ago which was vista. I noticed it didn't have windows 8 as a required system when I went to the download page. Assistance please?
