Question about renaming site (ranking)

Hi,
I would like to know if changing the name on my site like this below would effect my ranking.
owndefense.com/wildfire.html to this owndefense.com/pepperspray/wildfire.html. Would the page "wildfire" loose it ranking by during this.
Any help would be appreciated,

Yes, as it basically re-structures your site as far as the SE's are concerned, as sub-directories are considered a part of the whole and not individually as are Add-On or Sub-Domains.
