I submitted through bluevoda for the free submission to forty se's thirty days ago. I see that five have visited my site in awstats. I am thinking of using vodahits and wanted some comments and advice from other vodians' experience. Thanks!

With anything like this it takes time, it doesn't happen overnight unfortunately. Keep submitting to search engines, directories, other related sites etc, you can never have too many! 40 is not a huge amount at all. But always more important than anything is your content and user friendliness.

I would assume that some of you have used vodahits. Why don't you respond? Is it because you had a negative experience and are afriad to post the info on thus forum? Am I better off submitting to the se's myself? Are there better services to go with? I've been happy with bluevoda and assumed they would provide a quality service. Thanks!!

To be honest Tyson, your site has already been picked up by all the major seacrh engines that I have looked at this morning. I can't answer your question about Vodahits as I have never used it. I have created maybe 30 or more websites and always submitted to the SE's myself. Once one of them has you the rest follow anyway. Whilst I am sure it's a great little service from VH, using it now would probably not bring you any more benefit, you're already out there. Your best shot now is to improve on your ranking by getting some links in. : - )Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.Comment

ahh ok, sorry... I have their banner yes but it's not clickable, I don't use the affiliate program directly as others might. But these things work that you get paid once someone has actually signed up fopr an account and not just clicked on the site for details.
I can't answer for the VH affiliate but I know most of them have a built in tracking code with a cookie that will still recognise the client has come through you even if it's days later. You'll need to ask someone who uses it in this way, there are plenty who do.
I introduce clients to Vh in a different way so I have something else set up for this.Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.Comment
