I need help setting up a user login on my website. I have read every thread in here but am still having problems. I even went to the site of navaldesign and downloaded the form processing tool sucessfully, but still can't get anything to work. I NEED a simple login form that people can loggin using thier email and password. I know how to create the form, just don't know how to mwke it work. After testing my form I always get an error page(not my failure page). PLEASE Help. I tried sending a support ticket on naval designs page but recieved no answer. I have been working on my site for 2 months would like to get it operational as soon as possible.

I received a support request from you and answered back on Sept 26!!!!

Hi Lary,

The form takes you to a 404 Page not Found Error.
The problem is that you have created a folder for ABVFP which you have named
"abvfp" (lowercase) BUT in the form action you have used
http://thelollipopguild.biz/ABVFP/dbts_abvfp.php (using UPPERCASE characters
for the folder name)

Since this requires republishing the form, after editing the "action", there
is nothing i can do, you must edit and publish, then Refresh the form page
before testing.

However, a Login form is only the front end, there is a whole lot of scripts behind the login form!! Have a look at http://www.dbtechnosystems.com/logger_lite.php which is a low cost but complete login script.

Also, Davidundalicia has a free login script. See what can suit you.

I have the free register and login pages from davidundalicia, customized it and all. The Only thing is that anyone can still login using any old name if they want to. How can this be fixed where, if a person is not truly registered, they cannot get into the site. Thanks

Also, does anyone have a script that allows users to upload their music files to a particular page on my site? Then be viewed and or downloaded by others that visit, without having to do any uploading myself? you know like automatic? I know something like this might be some money, but I'm willing to negotiate price. Without giving up my kids that is! :) Thanks.

When you say THEIR music.. you mean original composition? I hope you do ... You cant allow upload of music and host it on your site. Its against TOS and a copyright violation even if the public doesnt have access to it.

Absolutely. It is for new music producers to submit their ORIGINAL compositions for others to use. I WILL NOT allow any published music on my site WHATSOEVER.

I have EXACTLY what you want: look a http://vietnam4christ.org/uploadform.php

Then, once the file is uploaded, it automatically appears in http://vietnam4christ.org/songlist_new.php

In this case only download was allowed but it is possible to allow also playing.

About your login problem: are you sure you have followed the script instructions? The page http://www.ebid4beats.com/get_to_bid...tals_user.html

is html, you can't protect a html page (actually you can, with a htaccess file, but i don't think this is the case).

You may have downloaded the free Membership scripts, which you can use as you wish, but you cannot just import the bluevoda custom built pages without the custom script and expect those pages to work.

I believe that David's script is free, you just need to install it correctly. And, this is something that only David can help you with.

I guess I'll try the installation of the one I got from David again. But as far as the other script for the uploads with the player and all, how do i get that from you?
