  • How do I create a header img to appear on every page

    Hi everyone,

I am a newbie to Voda. I am trying to create a header image along with drop-down menu to appear on every web page. Is that possible? and if it is, please kindly tell me what I have to do..

    Thanks a million.

    Have a look at this
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

Yes, the best and easiest way to do this is create a page with the header, menu and basic layout of the page. Do not add any content to the page that will not appear on all the pages. Save it as layout for example. Then clone that page for the rest of the pages you need for your site, save each page with the appropriate name, title and add your content. Besure to have all your links done before you clone.

What if you want to make changes to something within your header on every page? If you do it this way, you've have to change every single page and that's not feasible. Is there a way to create a universal header so that you can make the change on one page (or the main header page rather) and that change be reflected on every page that header is on? I know there's a code or something somewhere...just haven't found it. Same scenario with a footer on every page (a good example would be wanting to change the copyright year at the beginning of the year...you wouldn't want to have to change every single page). Does this make sense? Is there an easy way to do this?
