Maybe I'm going about it all wrong , am I suppose to edit the page in blue voda first then save and publish it? I added the folder to my bluevoda folder and I was able to have the pages there in bluevoda is this correct ? I was under the impression it would be like the forum and be ready to use , I'm not sure :( I read the directions over and over but still didn't get very far. thanks for the help

ABVFP is a form processor, it is not a form creator. It will NOT create the form for you. You should create the form in BlueVoda and publish it. There is an entire tutorial on this subject.

However, ABVFP comes with a "bonus" included in the zip: there are ready made pages for your Thankyou page, Error page, and a full contact form.
Open these pages in BV, edit them as required (logo, menu, colors etc) and publish them. Then, setup the form in ABVFP as per instructions included in the zip

thanks navel I was thinking that was the thing to do, I just wasn't sure, Navel another thing is that I don't see any bonus pages in the download you gave me off this forum. unless you just talking about the three bv pages contact,error and thankyou.

how does the verification part of the form work? do i have to ad my own images? where can I find these images ? how do I make the image match?
I read everything and there is nothing that tells me this info

Hello friends,

I have installed ABVFP and its working properly except few Required fields*. If you check www.mirabeltravel.ca/contactform.html, you will see "Destination city" & " Month of "Departure Date" is required but its not working. I have placed Date-RA in the field but i believe i have to do something else. Even "how can u find us" was required by default and i didnt change it but that also is not working. Can you please help me to figure out this problem.

Secondly, when visitor on the site fill out the form, he/she get the confirmation mail in random sequence e.g. It should be in order like Name, Address, City, Province, Phone, ....... etc But visitor get this in random order like , city, phone, address, name, province ....... Also time of submission in the mail was different from the real time.
I was wondering if you can give me tips to fix this problem too.

did what I read and I read them a hundred times I'm not a computer wiz but as far as what i read from the beginning you didn't have to be, But I should of known as I saw for a small fee you would do it. figures!
Any way I changed the permissions to the folder to 755 just as I was instructed "setup the form in ABVFP as per instructions included in the zip" and all the files set to 644, I never changed the actions or anything that had to do with the properties of the form, I left them set the way the template had them.
maybe you can see from the url's what I didn't do or did wrong I'm sorry for being such a bother to you I'm sure you have better things to do.

In the tutorial, there is a full description on implementing the captcha in your forms (last page). You only need to insert (in your forms) a html box, and insert the necessary code. You also need to place a text field, named "captcha_code" for the visitor to type the code he sees.

Using the captcha with ABVFP is very simple: place a html object in your page, and make it 100 px wide X 38 px high. These are the dimensions of the image. Paste the following code in it:
<img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/ABVFP/captcha.php" alt="Click for new image" title="Click for new image" style="cursor:pointer" onclick="this.src='http://www.yourdomain.com/ABVFP/captcha.php?'+Math.random()">


If you wish, you can also copy / paste the html box and the field from the contactform included in the zip, and paste it in your own page. You need however, to double click it and edit the path (your domain name)

maybe you can see from the url's what I didn't do or did wrong but when I goto The verification code and I want to chose another it disappears and I have to refresh the page in order to get another ! I'm sorry for being such a bother to you I'm sure you have better things to do.

I spoke too soon , The response letter has an error , It seems that the e-mail return addresses does not work. here is what I get ,
"Catskill******.com", UNEXPECTED_DATA_AFTER_ADDRESS@.SYNTAX-ERROR.
Thats not my e-mail address for the site the e-mail for the site is admin@mtnsportlive.com, It's picking this part "catskill" up from the CPanel info for the business name or URL part.
I thought I was in the clear, good thing I sent a form for a sample.

ABVFP was not validating empty dropdowns. Now it does:
1. Download again the zip, and replace the file dbts_abvfp.php
2. To be able to validate the drop down, give the first option of each dropdown (Please select), as value, one or more whitespaces (blanks).

This depends on the order you have given your fields in the form. To edit it, right click the field that you want first, and from the right click menu select "Bring to Front".
repeat for all fields, including the Submit and Reset as well as the captch code field. Save, Publish, and refresh before testing.

The time is the server time, in the next version time zones will be supported.

hey in need a little help i got the script installed and everything but it keeps wanting the error_page and i cant fix it can some one help me the address is band-alliance.com
