Adding the audio and video streaming players. Need Help!!

I want to add streaming players from this site:http://www.wimpyplayer.com/index.html

Did somebody already do it before?
I want to install the players also to many different sites...
But did never do it before- need help!
How to do this in bluevoda sites?

I am well known within VodaTalk for cautioning peers about the knife-edge walk of "streaming" and the subtle differences between streaming text and "re-broadcasting" and how VodaHost Terms of Service and general Copyright/Infringement laws always conflict with the intentions so many erroneously construe.

Do a Forum Search to come up with some earlier solutions based on your particular application ....after giving some real thought to your intended use and obligations.

Maybe somebody could send me a link to those solutions!I did not find it...Is there something wrong in using the streaming players???please, give me some info, because I really dont know anything about it at all!
What i want to do with the streaming- I will put clips of myself..is that somehow also not allowed?

This actually looks like a nice program and the price tag is not bad either .. thanks for the link .. Providing as pointed out by Vasili regarding the TOS of Voda Host, you will use this to upload and display your own material, this will work quite well I think ..

All you need to do is this:

What do I need to do (or know) to install Wimpy?
You should know how to FTP files from your local PC to a web server.
If you are interested in customizing Wimpy, you should know how to copy and paste basic HTML code into an HTML page.

All you really have to do is upload Wimpy -- then upload mp3 (or flash video) files to the same folder that contains Wimpy.

You can find tutorials for both of these things you need to know how to:

1. How to FTP files from your pc to your vh server
- open your web builder
- choose tools
- choose ftp manager
- choose connect on the left
- your details to input are the same
- on your left are your computer files - all set out in a filing system manner
- on the right are your files at your vh server
- upload this file wimpy sends you to your public_html file
- upload any videos to this same folder ...
.... you will be clicking the individual folders to find your way around the filing system set out for your files .. put this file inside of your public_html file

2. Insert html into your page
- in your web builder
- choose insert
- choose advanced
- choose html
- double click the html box that lands on your page
- insert any code given to you to insert in this way ..

I know how to use the FTP, but ...
the part number 2 is more difficult...
From where will I get the HTML code, I will need to insert?
I was thinking the Wimpy is more like a flash player?
Maybe you know some program, what I can use in my computer, do the flash movie with that and then put it like a flash element on the website?
I am not sure, I can use so well the macromedia flash, is to diffcult, but maybe there are some program, what is done specially for only audio and video? When somebody knows about it- please tell me!!
I will try to wimpy also and post the link, when I will understand, how to do it..

Hi .. no it's not a program that will work on your computer .. all server based ...

there are alternatives like you suggest to find what you are looking for

- you could instead purchase software to create your flash videos and inserting them into bv is easy too ..

I have macromedia...but is to difficult now..

From all the spinning of wheels going on, I personally think you should start off with simply creating, editing, and loading "clips of yourself" using Windows Media (both audio and video). Note that "clips" indicates finite files rather than streaming.....much different!

This is something you can do probably with the media you already have formatted around the house, and insert it simply onto your Blue Voda website without any difficulty whatsoever.

Then when you are ready to "evolve" you can look into doing something different, right?
Software is out there to convert WAV to Flash, but again....how much are you willing to pay/learn to do something that is already available to you for free?

Flash player look just great on the site...And I am a musician...so I need it for the promotions...
And, there will be clips only of myself! No worries about copyright :)
