    Question Automatic update to IE7

    I run windows XP and use IE6 - i have automatic updates from microsoft - how do I turn that off - i dont want IE7

    Start
    settings
    control panel
    administrative tools
    services


    then, just use the pull down where you see 'automatic' and select
    manual, or disable.

    Ann you could also go to microsoft updates itself, and instead of express install updates, choose custom, take the other updates, untick the IE7, and tick that you do not want to be given this update in the future and you therefore would receive all your critical updates as usual. Whatever works for you though.
