    Default Adding video

I am thinking about adding video to my pages - especially for when we start traveling - I have tried 2 different methods (#1 and #2) and would like feed back - do they work, does it take forever, any problems, any suggestions for other ways? putting the media player right on the page makes publishing the page take forever.

    they are at http://www.movingon1.com/movies.php

    Ann,
Long time loading, dial-ups willt ake forever.
I viewed in WinAmp and usually move the button forward to skip parts, couldn't do that here.
Perhaps shorter movies would work better.

God Bless you, but doing what you guys did would scare me. I did have to keep hitting the play button. Not to sure about adding this. Sorry, my thoughts.

The second movie loaded faster, freezes about 5 secs into it.

back again - have reduced size of clips and re-uploaded - working now - is there a way to reduce the size of a video besides cutting more of it out? what is the best way to add one to web page - is there another format besides wmv?

This one loads quick #2 movie in iframe 907kb but sounds bad & the image shrunk??
NO: 1 is a lot quicker on the download & still a pretty good image & sound.

Thank you Bill - this has been a learning experience and thanks to Chris I learned how to reduce the size - without cutting all the action out maybe I'll try to put this clip on the actual site

    Hi Ann,
Both loaded for me quickly. Regarding size... it really depends on how much space you are wanting to allocate on your page. I happen to like a little larger than the norm. Sometimes videos are so small I don't even bother to watch them.
    I guess... size does matter!

Finally added the video - it is taken out of a dirty windshield so it is a little blurry - http://www.movingon1.com/changes.php - at least now i have an idea how to do it.

Looks great. I do lots of video on our site and use .wmv format, about two minutes long opening in windows media player. Easy to manage and publish.
