Would like your opion on my new site

Just put my new site online, and I would like some feedback on whether all my links are working. Any suggestion on improving the site, please let me know.

Firefox can't find the server at www.jewelsgiftsaplenty.net.

seems that u r redirecting. r u sure that u r pointing to the correct server or have spelled the name correctly?

I'm not sure what the problem is. I had the jewelsgiftsaplety deleted,but I don't understand why the jewelsheritage.net points to .com. I checked my profile, and it shows I entered .net for my new domain.

If you type the name directly in the address bar of the browser, it takes you to my site. Be sure and use the .net.

it does not point to jewelsheritage.com but to http://www.jewelsgiftsaplenty.com (ur old domain); got 2 your BV profile and change the link in ur signature.

I already tried that. It shows my correct link, but is still pointing to my old domain

I just now tried what you suggested, and it didn't work.

Your signature shows http://www.jewelsheritage.net/
but the link is http://www.jewelsgiftsaplenty.com/ and it's a
"Server not found".

And you say you cannot fix that. Like it was suggested way above,
delete that part from your signature and
rewrite not only text but the link with the correct URL.

I would say delete the whole signature whatever you have and begin at
the beginning. Don't make changes to it. Delete the whole signature.

You have to correct that and the simple reason is that not everybody
will copy the text from your signature and use that in the address
field of their browser directly.

I tried that, the page gets displaced.

All have similar design except for my Tribute pages. They are meant to be different.

I turned in a support ticket, and I'm waiting for a reply.
In the mean time, the site can be viewed by typing the url in the address bar.

The problem with accessing my URL has been fixed. By clinking on my link, you should be able to access my new site.


And, thanks to wysiwyg4. I tried deleting everything, and typing it all in again. That seems to have worked.

that is hte exact reason y i find it very confusing because even if the pages are all supposed to be different it still confuses me !

but i am only speaking 4 myself because im 1 of the kind of people who get put off by this kind of design !
please dont take it personal !

i guess the main thing that confuses me is the jumping aout of the menue 1 time its here and then its there ! and pages are all different sizes !

thats like reading a book or magazine and 1 ime u have a small page and then on the next u have to unfold it to enlarge it first before u can read it !

and so on !

ps the link back to home on the gallery page doesent work !

but as i said its just my personal taste !

UK, I'm sorry you find them confusing, but I designed them so that the Tribute pages are American Patriotic. So, that is why I used the red,white and blue theme.

All the menu buttons are at the bottom of a page.

My site is for genealogists.

Again, sorry it is confusing you.

If you're using the BV builder,it has a built in margee builder. I'm not sure if there is a tutorial for it or not.

Lee, click on the Insert at the top of the page, you will see the Marquee.
Click on the name Marquee and when it shows up , right click on it, and then click Properties. You can then add ur text, colors and choice of fonts.

I am still asking for some opinions of my site. I've made a total change in my family album and a few changes on the rest of them. I have added some court documents to my document page.
I really need someone to check out my photo pages and my document page to see if they are loading fast enough.

Everything looks real good to me re. loading of photos etc.
Only thing I have to say is that you have some side-scroll on all your pages. Maybe a little tweak on the page width would make everything perfect :)
