Default Linking to a pdf on my site (yes, I searched)

    I'm sure it's simple but I'm simpler.

I u/l a pdf file w/no problems, but I don't know what to put in the link box(es).

On the web page I put "CLICK HERE" (w/o the "" marks) but no matter what I put in the box, I get 404.

I checked and there is no pdf option.

    Thanks.

Same as any link (http://www.yoursite.com/file.pdf)--with any subfolders as needed.

    Clearly, I'm doing something wrong.

Here is the link I put into my page: http://www.rickrolf.com/middle.pdf

The pdf file is loaded to my main directory and is named "middle.pdf" but no quote marks. the website is as above.

Should I have put my pdf onto (inside?) an http web page?

    What am I doing wrong?

I followed that link just fine. Here is an extract

    "THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE
This is the story of Rick Rolf, a man with pure intentions, a huge heart and indisputable
ethics. For several years now, Rick has been trying to give his older brother, Robert,
one-half of their family’s estate, as Rick and Robert’s parents requested in their wills.
However, Robert is fighting Rick’s efforts and has launched a legal jihad against him.
It is a vendetta sparked by Robert’s emotional and mental instability, and fueled with
    jealousy, hatred and spite."

Please try again. I just did it and got the 404. Yes, I refreshed.

    Frustrating.

    Thanks.

    General Darren, SIR!

I got it. Must have changed it after you looked.

    Many thanks.
