Default Wordpress in subdomain - links question

as explained in an earlier thread, I plan to relaunch my existing website as a Wordpress site. To start with, I have installed Wordpress in a subdomain and am now in the process of redesigning the entire site in that subdomain before moving it into the main domain. I've got a question re: how to do the internal links.
I understand that with Wordpress the former link structure, e.g., would change to, i.e. without the html extension. My Wordpress site is now located at, say,; in order to link to another page on my website I assume I have to link to, e.g., not as I will obviously remove that subdomain once my redesigning is finished and I move Wordpress to the main domain; am I correct?
Other question: how about linking photos? By default, my Wordpress installation links the photos to Do I have to change this manually now (to or will this somehow change "automatically" once I move the Wordpress site to the main domain?
Thanks for your help in advance! I need to be sure about this stuff before I continue with my Wordpress effort ...

Hi, you should open a support ticket when you are done designing the site on the sub-domain and ask how to move it to the main domain.
