I couldn't get onto explorer today until I restored my system to BEFORE the latest windows update (17/06/06). Has anyone else had this problem?

Not particularly that problem, Trish, but countless similar and other ones. I changed my browser and have had a blissful internet experience ever since. http://flashpeak.com for SlimBrowser which was highly recommended and I love it. There are plenty of others out there too. I wouldn't recommend Netscape 8 either.Originally Posted by limebrook1

Hi limebrook1
Don't talk to me about windows updates download the new explorer and have had nothing but trouble since. freeze frames, jamming internet, cares on running when shutdown. could not turn of computer had to pull the plug and so on. it funny it started of fine for a couple days then started going wrong. it was like having a virus. at one stage i done six scans in one day useing different programs. got rid of it rest the computer and fingers croos all working ok now.
Thanks both - not sure I'm brave enough to try another browser, but if this keeps happening I will have to!
Hello limebrook1
did you update the IE Browser to the new one, if you did get rid of it, it's nothing but trouble.
Trish, it's easy peasy lemon squeezy, to add a new browser and it's a lot more user friendly than IE, believe me! It's your call but I wouldn't put up with any more nonsense if I didn't have to.Originally Posted by limebrook1

I.E and Netscape both giving problems but nothing too drastic as yet... I'll try Amandas suggestion if I get really blogged down. What about mozilla - firefox. I've heard it gets the job done without any problems...anyone know anything on this?

My recomendation is Firefox: the most stable and interface is user friendly
For anyone who is curious about IE7, not a single good comment.
