  • Publishing subdomain of addon domain name

I have watched the tutuorials and read the threads regarding this but still having problems.

I went to CP, Subdomains & added/created a subdomain for an addon domain like this: windsor.conferenceroomonline.com. I have a page for this subdomain so I saved in a seperate folder named 'windsor".

Then published in Blue Voda like this:
public_html/windsor. The message said the page was published.

Then if I try to check it out I put http://www.windsor.conferenceroomonline.com or http://windsor.conferenceroomonline.com in my IE browser the index of the subdomain comes up, not the web page I designed for the subdomain.

I have republished the page every which way I know how to do. Saving it as windsor.bvp, windsor.index, windsor.index.html and even using my main domain name, windsor.conferenceroomonline.ncmtnrealestate.com. Still nothing works.

I know I'm must be missing some small detail but have run out of resources.

Re: Publishing subdomain of addon domain name

I understand the difference between addon domains and subdomains. However my problem is with publishing a subdomain. If I follow the instructions given in previous posts and do "public_html/windsor" with "windsor" being the subdomain I set up in CP and publish, the index comes up.....Still struggling.

Re: Publishing subdomain of addon domain name

Finally figured it out. A subdomain page needs to be named/ saved as index in a seperate folder. I was saving the page as windsor.

        Hope this helps someone else.
