Adding a Guestbook to your Bluevoda Page (revised Instructions)
Adding a Bluevoda Guestbook to your Page:
1) Click the Guestbook Icon then click on your page and drag the mouse to form the Guestbook Box
(The Guestbook can then be resized and placed anywhere on your page).
2) Double click the Guestbook Box to open the PHP Guestbook Properties box.
3) Change the TITLE if you wish (you should leave the other fields as they are, but they can be changed)
4) Click on the Advanced button and choose an admin password (allows you to edit/delete entries). The default password is 'password'
5) Enter your email address if you want to be notified when someone uses your Guestbook.
6) Click OK - Then Publish your page.
7) After you post an initial welcome message, the script will auto create the required guestbookdb.php file for you.
Using the Bluevoda FTP Manager (TOOLS - FTP Manager) or
the File Manager in your Cpanel, Select the guestbookdb.php file and right click
then click Properties and set the permissions to 777 (You only have to do this once).
A Step by Step Visual Tutorial can be seen and printed Here: (coming soon)
Reminder: The GuestBook Cannot be seen in Preview Mode, you must publish your page that contains the guestbook.
You will see an error message when you have published your Guestbook but this will disappear after you have made the first entry.
Change the permissions of 'guestbookdb.php' to 777 otherwise your guests won't be able to write data.
There are 3 files involved when creating a Bluvoda Guest Book:
1. The BV page that you created the GB on. ( call it whever you wish but should NOT have a .php extension)
2. The guestbook.php which is created when you publish number 1
3. The guestbookdb.php which is created when you first make an entry into your guest book.
(always LINK to the full URL of the page that you published in number 1)

Ticket Etiquette - How to ask for help.
Solution
Many of our clients have approached us asking for the most appropriate way to send in tickets, to ensure the fatest and most efficient responses to their tickets.
These tips are merely a suggestion, and in no way a requirement.
1) One Ticket per Issue, New Tickets for New Issues.
Suggestion: Please put only one issue in each ticket. If you have a different problem to address, please open a new ticket for this.
Logic: When a new shift comes in, each new staff member has to read the entire ticket to understand what the issue is and how to resolve it. When the first 24 replies were pertaining to an issue already resolved, not only could this potentially cause confusion, but it can also slow down the rate at which we could have read and resolved your issue.
2) Constantly Responding to a Ticket.
Suggestion: Please do not constantly respond to a ticket simply to expedite the ticket.
Logic: We understand some issues are quite important. However, currently when you make a response to the ticket, the ticket is sent back to the end of the queue as the last response time is reset. This achieves the opposite effect of your original intention.
3) Provide as Much Information as Possible.
Suggestion: Please provide us with as much information as possible to help troubleshoot tickets. For example if you are submitting an email issue, please provide us with the follogin details:
a) One specific email account / password that has a problem (even if all accounts have a problem)
b) Any specific error messages you receive.
c) If the error is for sending, receiving, or both.
d) What email address you are sending from, and what email address you are sending to.
Logic. Sometimes, just slightly more information can save us hours of troubleshooting, and thus get you a resolution several hours sooner than would otherwise be possible. For example in the above scenario, without additional details we may be spend 30 minutes testing and troubleshooting incoming mail just to find the problem is with outgoing mail. Providing us with specific error messages will help us narrow down the myriad of possible causes.
We would like to thank all of our wonderful clients for giving us the opportunity to work with each and every one you.

Are you puzzled about the "BV" and "FTP" or "upload" expressions that you see all the time! (BV = Bluevoda and FTP = File Transfer Program and Upload is transfering a file from your computer to your website)
Here are 2 simple ways of uploading files (NOT BV PAGES) to your website:

Trouble Publishing? - Below are the possible reasons why......
1) You don't have a VodaHost webs hosting account. You need a VodaHost web hosting account and a domain
name in order to publish your website on the internet. Click Here to create your VodaHost Account.
2) If you do have a VodaHost account and you are having problems publishing this could only mean that your
firewall is blocking and preventing BlueVoda from doing its job. Please momentarily disable any firewalls that
you have on your computer or add BlueVoda to your safe programs list.
3) Also please make sure that you are selecting the correct IP address from he drop down menu. If you do not
see your IP address in the drop down menu, please upgrade to the latest version of BlueVoda.
