Maybe you did not submit it according to instructions?

When it doesn't publish it usually gives you a reason, as Vasili says. It is often size or type - that is, needs to be jpg or gif, - I think those are the only ones..
How big is the image, not just kbs but pixels?

Try uploading an avatar picture, and it will show in the forum posts
