This type of activiy would require a dedictated server or multiple servers clustered together, Depending on your level of success, I can see you filling up servers very fast.

    Re: video and audio

I would like to thank you for prompt response.

As I tried to explain my project, I want to build a site for amateur musicians to public their music. So musicians will upload to their own music to my site then I will publish it. I do not put any copyrighted material to my site.

I asked for mp3, because the size is small. So I also prefer any other third party tool which shrink the audio file and keep the quality like mp3. I think there is no restriction for this. Is there?

For example(I am just brainstorming myself) it is even OK for me to convert audio file to video file but no video available of course, only with voice but file size is as small as a mp3 file.

Or is there any alternative, to listen an audio file in my site not in mp3 format but in a different format.

So lets make the long story short, My only concern is audio files are too big, and takes too much time to open/listen for my visitors. Is there a tool like mp3, to listen the music as quick as possible.

    Thanks again for your time

    Sait

    Re: video and audio

    Hello Sait,

Thank you for the kind words...I will answer your questions in the order in which you asked them.

    1) Having the front end of your website at VodaHost and hosting your MP3's at another web host i not a problem, but to be very honest. Any "REAL" web host will have the exact same copyright issues that we do. I would be very wary of any web host that does not have aissue wth copyrighted material.

    2) We do not limit your success or the size of your operation, the only limits are our disk space allocations (which are huge).

    3) Yes you can.

    Hello to everyone

    Hello to everyone,

    I am new in BlueVoda,
I have reviewed most of pages and tutorials. I can say that it is impressive. My first thought was this site is so good and It can not be real. I realized that there are a lot work done and thousands of hours were spent to build it so professionaly. Amazing !!!

    I have some questions

1- I want to build a music site for non famous music players and groups to make them famous. This site will contain video clips and mp3 audio files. as far as I know mp3 is not allowed in Vodahost. I think VH does not want to take any risk for copyright issues. I am also very sensitive about this. So can I direct mp3 files to any other FTP or other hosting company instead of BV?
If yes do you have a sugestion or an alternative idea?

2- I have also some other projects; I want to build forums and blogs sites.
Is there a limit like number of users or members for

    Blogs
    Forum
    Forms created

if yes what is the limit?

For example: Can VH support a site which have 10.000 members?

3- Can I host some part of domain pages, like blogs forum etc, in VH and keep other part in current hosting company? Because at the initial stage I do not want completely leave my current hosting company. If yes what is the procedure? Or can I do it visa versa, Main hosting in VH and some other related pages in diffrent hosting company.

    Thanks for your help

    Sait
